Kalpana Ravishankar holds a Masters degree in Bharatanatyam from the well known Thanjai Tamil University.
She has staged many Dance Dramas such as Ashishankararin Shanmatham, Ayigiri Nanthini, Ayinthinai, Valli Thirumanam.
She is a passionate teacher and a performer. She had taken training in various traditional folk dances of India under talented artists and excellent Tharangam performer.
She had staged many folk performances in the Dallas area and had won the heart of the Rasikas. Her students have bagged first place in various genres in Sanskrithi and Natya Kalakar competitions continuously. She has staged many spectacular Tamil folk performances for the pongal festivals and Diwali celebrations representing the metroplex Tamil Sangam and the Dallas Tamil Mandram.
