Lemon Fish Fry Recipe - a simple , healthy fish fry made with squeezed lemon and marinate with chilli  powder .This recipe works best for king fish(frozen king fish ),Salmon fish.

Lemon Fish Fry – Spice and non Spice version /Mom friendly Recipe

Equipment

  • Iron Pan or iron dosa tawa ,mixing bowl or lunch plate

Ingredients

  • 14 Pieces Fish Separate 7 pieces for kids
  • l Lemon
  • 3 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tblsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tblsp Rice flour
  • 1 tblsp Corn flour
  • 11/2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 to 5 tblsp water
  • 5 to 6 tbsp Oil
  • Curry Leaves

For Garnishing

  • Sweet Peppers
  • Onion

Instructions

  • Clean fish steaks and Marinate the fish steak with salt, one full lemon juice, turmeric. Apply the mix on both side of fish steak and leave it for 5 min.
  • Add the chilli powder,coriander powder, rice flour, corn flour and ginger garlic paste. Add 3 to 4 tbsp of water to mix the powder along with fish steak. Set aside for 15 to 20 min at room temperature
  • Heat 3 tbsp of oil in iron pan for shallow fry, add the marinated fish steak one by one in hot oil and fry for 1 to 2 min until the bottom of fish turn crispy then flip gently on the other side until crispy.
  • Keep the fish in paper towel lined plate to drain the excess oil and serve hot .

Notes

If you are using frozen fish ,make sure you thaw the fish completely before marinating.
Don’t leave the marination for long time , this will make the fish texture to  be hard.
Wait until the bottom of fish becomes crispy before flipping to other side.This helps to avoid the fish from breaking.
For kids ,who want less spicy fish , separate few fish in plate and add all the ingredients except chilli powder .Reduce the amount of chilli powder  .So the kid below 3 years can eat happily.
