We are living in texas for past 2 years , the most known places by local community and by most indian community are Houston , Nasa ,San-Antonio, Sea world. We went to all those place more than 3 times.

As we moved from nature beauty state Denver ,Colorado .We literally missed the nature best in Texas until we find this dense forest.
If you want to see tall dense tree in texas within 4 hours of drive then take this trip during spring to fall and best at summer. After two hours of driving out of dallas city, you will slowly enter the pinewood of east texas. Be ready to take one day or stay trip to this 10,000 years old environmental rich forest in texas.

Red Hills lake was built in 1940 by Civilian Conservation Corps and it’s in the Yellow Pine Ranger District.This Red Hills Lake is hidden gem in texas, Sabine county. Let the texan know this beauty and don’t forget to share with your friends about this beautiful lake.
Clear water surrounded by pinewoods which gives you lifetime memory ,when you visit the Red Hill Lake. Swimming area are best for both kids and adults.
There are warning signs for alligator and there is no lifeguard on duty. Mostly ,alligator are not active near to swimming area but it’s better to keep watch on. When we asked local people in Red Hills Lake regarding alligator, they said ,mostly the forester will take away the alligator if they are in the lake or if people report forest department they will come and take away the alligator. When we visited- they were 4 to 5 family around 20 people in that place. Most of them took deep water swimming.
It is surprise drive for us and we are not prepared for swimming in the water . Only Abhinav and Reya played in the shallow water .
The Red Hills Lake Recreation made it possible to make picnic with family and friends.Around the lake they are barbecue grill, picnic tables , water taps and restroom.
If you love to stay overnight surrounded by pinewood then book your campground. The Red Hill Recreation providing campsite with electric and non electric facilities.
Fishing ,hiking trails are best activities in Red Hills Lake.
To enter the park ,you need to pay 3$ per vehicle ,more information for camping are available on their website. Make sure ,you have dollars and cash in hands.
