Dallas for all Season
Our view of the Dallas area has changed after the Covid life. Yes, as we explored more road trips near our home, we explored activities for every season around Dallas.
Before the view of Dallas there was like no activity for kids nearby , no places to engage kid outdoors in Dallas. We have to drive 3 to 4 hour to San Antonio or Houston to enjoy a long holiday or by flying to another state and so on.
But all those changed just in one year of exploring places near the Dallas area.
Yes, We are coming up with another interesting seasonal place to visit by kids and families near the Dallas area at 30 to 45 min drive.
Interestingly, we came to know about spring strawberry picking at a 30 min drive, with all covid safety protection we reached the farm at the right time. Here we are sharing our experience and things you have to prepare before visiting the farm.

Getting into the parking lot is important to enter the farm.
If parking lot are full , you have to return back home which will disappoint everyone.
So start early, wakeup early. We started by 7.30 from home and we were in the car line for 30 min. Getting into the parking lot is important to enter the farm.
Start early to avoid return back without berries,
They open only 3 days a week- Monday, Wednesday and on weekends only Saturday morning they are open.
So on Saturday, there is little rush, as the season ends the number of visitors will increase. Plan early to pick your berries before the season ends by June 1st week!!
Plan Ahead to stay safe ,
A 100 % mask is needed, pack 2 sets of mask for everyone. Because , it will take 4 to 5 hours total time to go inside and pick your berries and to make a bill.
Bring Hand Sanitizer along with you and inside the farm.
Wear mud shoe or normal sandals , watch your feet while picking strawberries to not stick your sandals,
Bring use and throw covers to protect your car from mud, put your mud sandals or shoe in cover and wash it at home!!
Depend on the time you arrive the farm, the standing time will differ,
If you reach by 8.30, then you have to stand for 1hr 30 min in line and it will take 10 min to enter the farm once they start by 10 am.
Follow good social distance while standing in line and picking strawberries, there are plenty of places.
Take good breakfast and Be ready to stand in line,
Have good breakfast or bring your own food and eat inside the car while one of your family member stand in the line,
Bring a spring jacket , since it is going to be windy and cold in the morning time.
Plan to engage your kids while standing in the line with your funny joke.
If you are coming with parents, ask them to wait in the car until the gates are open or take a foldable chair to relax while waiting in the line.
Why there is Two Line,
If you are visiting for the first time , you have to buy a Red color bucket for strawberry picking which costs $3 .
You can keep the bucket with you and bring it every time you visit the farm.
The standing time visitor with the red bucket will be very less then the first time visitor.
So, there will be 2 standing lines.
You can buy as many buckets as you want , depending on the quantity of strawberries you’re going to pick.
