This nature museum opened in 1967 and visitors count 100,000 annually!!.
The 289 acre nature preserve is a haven for more than 240 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles !!
Not just nature preserve, they made unbelievable life size animatronic dinosaurs !!

Trail Tips,
Because of the wide spread wet land, the museum keep warning about the risks associated with outdoor activities.
They keep warning, aware of children to any risky area s or conditions.
Please do not leave trails, and do not approach areas or conditions that pose or risk to you or your family.
Due to several species residing on the sanctuary which will cause mild to severe physical pain or injury they do have Copperhead snakes, cottonmouth snakes and fire ants and poison ivy.

The indoor exhibits provide interactive aspects of Texas’ natural environment.
They offer exhibits on Texas Venomous snakes , rocks , minerals and fossils ,seashells and marine life of north Texas ecosystem , a children’s fossil dig and a marine room.
