Materials

TO FRY AND GRIND

  • 4 number ripen Tomato 2 cups
  • 2 number medium Onion 1 cup
  • 4 number medium Garlic
  • 1 tblsp ginger
  • 10 to 15 number cashews

FOR PEAS PANEER GRAVY

  • 1 tblsp oil
  • 1 medium bay leaf
  • 3 piece cardamom
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala (used home made )
  • 1 tblsp curd
  • 2 cup peas
  • 250 gms paneer
  • 2 tblsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tblsp kasuri methi
  • 2 tblsp water
  • as needed salt

Instructions

  • Fry the paneer cube with oil,salt and turmeric.
  • Boil the overnight soaked peas .
  • Heat tbsp of oil in pan ,add roughly chopped onion,saute them till they turn light golden and raw smells goes off.
  • Then add chopped tomato, add salt .Saute till the tomato turns mushy.
  • Add freshly chopped garlic and ginger .Saute for 1 min .Finally add the cashews and saute for few seconds and then switch off the stove.
  • Cool the mixture completely.Transfer to blender jar.
  • Make a smooth puree without adding water.Set it ready for gravy preparation.

Preparation of peas paneer gravy

  • Heat pan with 1 tbsp of oil,.Add cinnamon, bay leaf saute them for min.
  • Add onion,tomato puree and sute for 3 min with 3 tbsp of water.Then add chilli powder, garam masala,coriander powder,turmeric powder.Mix well all the spice powder with the onion tomato puree.
  • Allow the spice powder to cook till the raw smell goes off.
  • Add the tbsp of curd to the gravy and mix well.
  • Add boiled green peas.I used dried peas ,soaked overnight and boiled till the peas cooked.
  • Cover cook the peas with gravy mixture for 2 to 3 min.
  • Finally ,add the sauted paneer along with kasuri methi cook for few more min.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with idly for dinner.
