These places are so close that you can walk there, No I was kidding! Alright Now lets see these places!.
Depending on your location in Dallas, Frisco, Prosper, Plano, Allen, Little Elm, McKinney, Princeton, Gainesville these places will take 30 min to 1 hour drive.
Heard Museum at McKinney -Texas at 30 min drive!!
If you want to escape from busy city life and want to explore nature along with learning of dinosaur, then the Heard Museum is at your nearest spot to explore.
Life sized live dinosaurs on a beautiful trail, Picnic spot, the wooden trail along with lake view are really enjoyable!!
Jurassic World as Roaring Dinosaurs At the Heard Museum. This Museum is Truly Amazing for any family to visit. You can spend 3 hours or if you plan to make picnic with own food then you can stay to explore for 4 to 6 hours.
Pricing are at the best – $10 Adults $7 seniors & kids 3+,
kids 2 and under are free.
Timing – Monday closed ,
Tuesday – Saturday 9am -4pm, Sunday 1pm to 4pm . Gates closes at 4p.m.
They do have Zip line day on May 9, June19, July 18,August 14,September 26 -2021 from 9 a.m to 12 p.m, explore at 23-ft to 487-ft zip line.

Frank Buck Zoo, Gainesville at 1 hour drive
Frank buck zoo is one of the Hidden gems of Zoo near Dallas area, Excitement will never stop when thinking about Frank buck zoo and you will accept it when you visit this cute zoo.
It is Located at 1000 W.California St., Gainesville,Texas 76240.

This zoo infrastructure is so amazing, the clean calm environment best place to relax and animals look healthy & having fun by every visitor.
Giraffe hut and the wooden walkway will detach you from Dallas city life.

Cathy’s Critters at 30 min drive (Farm, Cute animals and Horse Ride ).
Cathys Critters is a fun Exotic Petting Zoo not only for kids but also for adults to enjoy!!
Location – 7422 County Road 466, Princeton, Texas – 75407.

They open on Friday 9am to 2 pm ,
Saturday 10am – 4 pm,
Sunday 10am – 4pm, they do have good parking lots .
Our Favorite Trail rides (Horse rides) Only on Saturdays 11, 12 am & 2:30 pm.
You have to book online in advance for Trail Rides (Horse Ride).
Cathy’s critters are a great place to visit in a warm climate to get the Most of your trip. But we visited one sunny day in January.
Fun feeding Animals, Pony rides, horse rides everything looks cute at Cathy’s Critters.
Staff are so kind and helpful, you can visit the small room where the reptiles are allowed to touch and the staffs are explaining all your questions!!
4.Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge at 1 hour Drive ,
If you are looking for complete outdoor activity at free of cost , to explore and to watch out birds near lake shore in the most pleasant environment than drive your car to Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.
In a 4 mile drive ,from the visitor center to view the wide lake and when you go deep down the road , the lake is further divided into different small parts where you can drive your car and the view will be amazing .Checkout Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Video 1 & Video 2

Timing : Monday to Saturday 9am to 4 pm , Sunday 1 p.m to 5 p.m.

At the end of the 4 mile drive, a big picnic area and walking trail are available.
You can spend 4 hours to one day trip to Hagerman Wildlife Refuge, take your own food ,water and group activity games .
Wide open place, no need of worry about crowd, park your car and walk around the lake water by enjoying the migrating birds .
All the above 4 places are best to visit with kids and parents. Follow the Covid Rules, and be prepare with proper mask and hand sanitizer to safe during this Covid, If you want o make very quick outdoor drive for 2 to3 hour without stepping-out of car then drive to Hagerman Wildlife refuge.
