Join the 42 years of Ballooning in 2023 at Plano Balloon Festival /Collin County. Plano Balloon Festival is one of the non-profit agencies dedicated to educating about hot air ballooning. The Balloon Festival is one of Plano’s biggest events and a real colourful treat for all ages.

Plano Balloon Festival is one of the must-visit events in Dallas. Complete family-friendly event with tons of activities for every age to enjoy during the weekend. This year 2023, it is going to be a 4 day spectacular event !!

Parking cost

$15 for one time entry.

Most of the Plano ISD elementary students usually get a complimentary ticket to get in free to the festival for one of the days.

Tickets

$10 for a 1-day ticket for ages 12+

$5 for a 1-day ticket for kids aged 3 -12 and for seniors 65+

Free Tickets are available for kids who are under 36 inches and all military families and First Responders(with Valid ID).

Kids Zone

For the kids‘ Fun Zone, you can purchase a wristband cost $20 for all-day play which is valid on Inflatable and Mechanical rides only.

Two Ticket booths are located within the kid’s fun Zone. Rides vary in price from $2.50 – $5.

A weekend ticket costs $20 for the whole event.

Balloons are in the park according to the permitted weather.

There will be 30 beautiful, magnificent colorful balloons lighting up and taking off into the sky 2x a day along with a fun ‘glow’ that happens each night.

Parachute Team

A parachute Team will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 5.30 pm by jumping from their plane over the park and landing right in the middle of the launch field.

Band

Local Bands will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and also community groups will be performing on the main stage throughout the event.

Fireworks

Friday and Saturday evenings catch up with the boom and bang of spectacular Fireworks.

Balloon Glow

Friday and Saturday evenings there will be a BALLOON GLOW after dark. To get the best view, be there by around 7.30 pm to get a good spot on the lawn or hills for the best view.

You can step onto the ground with the balloons to get a close-up look.

Join the Marathon

Plano Festival: Half Marathon | 10K | 5K | 1 K on September Saturday 24 to 25.

Kids Fun Zone

This year’s fun and interactive inflatable includes obstacle courses, zipping down the huge slides and riding the pirate ship or the berry-go-round.

Activities for Younger Kids

Get your Face Painted and explore music at the Plano Symphony Orchestra Instrument Area.

Kids Korner Area

Children can enjoy the creative make-and-take art activities in the kid’s Korner – a large tent located within the Kids Fun ZONE.

Note: Dress up according to the weather, If it does rain the balloon event does get cancelled.

They are not encouraged to bring pets.

Bring chairs and blankets for picnic style and enjoy the evening.

Balls or bubbles are good entertainment while waiting for the event.

If you are planning to buy the wristband for the Kids Zone, go early as lines get longer during the afternoon and before the ‘ Glow’ event.
